Get something from Sony. X-Black screens have much better scale of depth and colour reproduction.
doesn't have DVI-I connector, don't buy it
yes it does
Parent
edit: u r right, DVI-D is digital, DVI-A analog, DVI-I both. it will do.

Any EIZO > *
not for gaming

If you have enough cash, then to gaming too. Sony has some suberb CRT's, but this was about LCD's.

eizo is the best

great choice
Recently bought the SM223BW (22" widescreen). Love it!
It doesn't use overdrive, so it's a bit slower than it could be, I guess, but I don't play games anyway. It's a great replacement for my non-existant tv (if I watch tv, I watch a stream from our university network).

If you want a (big) widescreen display the best one should be the SM226BW if (and really only if) you get an original Samsung panel.
it seems the best one at the moment is the SM226CW, its basically the upgraded BW with a guaranteed S panel, picking that up today

Are you sure it's as good? Looking at the BeHardware.com tests it seems worse than the BW (direct comparison).

I got it, it's really nice, especialy for the price atm..
