they used the winter solstice as the birth date of Jesus because it was close, and 2 massive parties were too difficult back in the day :> (thats what i heard)

i blame my mom for not being born on x-mas but mine is august 22 so that way i get more things and all the lovin ^^

yes this was evident, wasnt it?

firstly the herders and the family would have been frozen to death if it was in december

secondly the date 24/25th december was chosen to cast out the pagan cult of the sun which took place at the same time
