dvd , xvid , mp4 ?!?@#?

I have this Video_TS map with some files in it but I can't play it @ my PS3 downstairs so i need to change those files into 1 mp4 or Xvid file. How can I do this ?

theres a program where you can download anything from your pc to your console via your own ftp designed for wii/ps3/xbox360 - alos and option to convert files to appropriate format... its free... but they could charge £200 + for it so find it fast, i forgot what its called and im not @ my pc.... "v.... something"
