Futurama Movie

Just watched it, mostly impressed.

It's a shame the series will probably never return :(, fox must realise that if they started showing futurama it would make everything else on their network look like the utter shit that it is and no one would watch it.

I didn´t like it even if I loved the series. You can see that Groening wasn´t making the movie. It was "ok" but I excepted way more.

Still better than most, even if it was a little dry.

I loved the Battlestar Galactica reference, when Lars and Leela are at the "Cylon War Memorial" =o)

Well yes, but not even close to the level where series was. Had some great moments, but some really annoying scenes also.

The movie is as said top notch. And the Futurama-team has 3 more movies comming during the time of 2008-2009.

Plus Comedy Central has bought the rights for 13 new episodes which are gonna air 2008 aswell. So Futurama is far from dead. Infact it wasn't really dead, the Futurama-team and FOX just had some disagreements and put the show on ice. But as far as I know they couldn't air any more episodes during that time, since FOX had the rights for a couple more seasons. Thats why it was on hold.

After that, some other smaller company gotten the rights for it and sent some re-runs of the old episodes. But now It's really alive and kicking again!

by disagreements you mean, fox are bunch of shit eating glue sniffing chimps with down syndrome, and the futurama team are talented writers?

Yeah basicly. I think FOX put it on ice because it wasn't appealing to such a big croud as they wanted it to do. But It's really hard to compare it to a show like Simpsons which have had many years to build up their fanbase.

And Futurama is in every way unique show. The writing, the characters and the surroundings are sublime. But luckily for us, they have went separate ways and Futurama is back baby!

But regarding FOX, they fucked up Family Guy big aswell. I can't believe they took it off the air for that while it was cancelled and they still air a show like King of the Hill. Bah!
