I saw it today. I liked the film. The film, for all I really cared could have been huge explosions and fighting vampires. BUT WHY DIDN'T THEY KEEP THE ENDING THE SAME AS THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ending of the book is the WHOLE POINT OF THE STORY! I am so dissapointed I nearly jumped out of my seat with anger. Why ruin a perfectly good ending? Or is it just that Hollywood can't have a sad ending in any of their films?!
All in all the film was good however it shouldn't have been called I Am Legend because it didn't have the same premise and point of the book therefore it ISN'T I Am Legend!
But as I say Hollywood just can't do sad endings... they refuse to do them for some reason lol. I think this movie would have been better if it was a low-budget B movie. Most of the action could then take place in the house just like in the book and as long as the actor could pull of playing Neville it would have been brilliant. I think there was just too much money in the film, it basically meant they had to make loads of CGI and lovely looking images of New York deserted which I suppose were all stunning but it kind of took the premise of the book away.
But as I say it wasn't a bad film, it just wasn't I Am Legend.
It's a real shame because there were parts in the film where it looked like it was going to end in the way the book did. Sadly it didn't. It was amusing when me, my dad and brother just looked at each other in dissapointment. I think many people in the cinema would have been wondering why we were flailing our arms around as they probably not read the book lol.

we just have to life with it
i probably read more books than your library has
what did you expect for getting as answer?
I'm very sorry if I offended you, I didn't know you were such a facist nazi dictator.
The books were so much better, like all the atheist shit was stripped from the film :(
I just started reading Fight Club, Chuck Palahniuk.
I just finished Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series of books
The film was horrid by comparison :( Got a little dry/confusing towards the end, but brilliant nonetheless.
6/10 at all
