r_swapinterval problem

hi.

since today my r_swapinterval (vsync on) isn't working anymore.

it's always off allthough the console tells me it's set to 1.
even in Options/System it says it's on. but it's not.

what could cause this problem??

r_swapinterval or also known as vsync sync's your 3D running game to your Monitor Hz value. for CRT monitors that means, if your crt runs with 200hz, and your com_maxfps is set to 0, your game will run with 200fps, synced to the hz value of your crt.

for tft this command or vsync is rather uninteresting as tft's mostly have 60hz .. 60fps ain't nice ;) ..

why i use vsync on? .. google for raziel's articles :)

Well I have TFT @ 75Hz, and I use 125fps, so thats fuckedup or what ? ;D

It's all fine if you got vsync off. If it would be on, you would get only 75fps.

as aramusha said.

if r_swapinterval is 0, you will be able playing with the fps of your needs.

i use it to lock it to my CRT hz value .. but well, it seems something is fucked here.

just launch ET do cvar_reset in console, close et rename your own cfg to autoexec.cfg and delete etconfig and launch et.exe, should fix it

btw check for double commands in your config

didn't help.

even with a new, clean, unused cfg it won't let me use vsync.

damn winxp .. ;)

just did. it says it lets the 3D application decide wether vsync is off or on.
