The situation in Kenya

Hoi. Some of you know I'm in Nairobi, Kenya, since i've whined about that in a few earlier journals. I'm currently safe in the Norwegian School (which is one of the embassy's gathering points) together with around 50 other norwegians.

I have a lot of friends in the slums. That means i probably have friends that have had their houses burned, friends killed, etc. But who cares wether they are my friends or not, people are people.

Kenya is a very nice nation. People are very friendly, lovely, the country is beautiful, the economy is growing and things have really worked out for Kenya lately, except from now. I've been here for 3 months now, so I know Kenya beneath the tourist-face. And it's beautiful. It's a shame to see so much get destroyed. There's the violence happening right now, but Kenya will suffer from it's consequences for many years.
