Need some help from brits

What pc store in England has the best laptop prices? Shipment to third world countries is not needed, I can pick it myself. Any recommendations are appreciated.

cant say i know a shop thats cheap. All the big names r pretty expensive, better getting it online or some random local pc shop

Dell have some cheap deals as always but they are hardly just based in the UK.

if I order it from dell and it comes with Vista installed, am I sure to get rid of it successfully? no idea if they put some protection on that nowadays to force me using that shite..

I don't see why not. As long as you format and laptop and stick XP on there, you should be fine. I'm not sure what Dell's policy is towards invalidating your warranty though, so if you care about that, it might be a bad idea. If not, go nuts!

I'm thinking about Vostro 1400 with T7500, GeForce 8400 and 2 gigs of ram. don't need it to be too powerful - it's mostly for studies. can you play et on yours? I'm a bit out of date in hardware..

really really really dont buy from a store, too limited options and a 30% price increase
i like scan.co.uk and microdirect.co.uk (use them for almost evereything)
also if you find something you like look on google products (uk) and sort by lowest price first
