i dont get it , this page is mostly about et and the cdc is one of the few things keeping this game alive
this would be a great event for et / this community since so many teams signed up.
i can understand that the mostly people will say care ? its better to see skilled teams only and stuff like this but i think every team should have the chance to enjoy / have played an et lan since this game is almost unplayable online.
there were always big stories in here about keeping et alive but after seeing the slots reduced to 12 its like a backstab especially since all started with rtcw/et in here
Wasn't that kinda obvious? That most ET teams would sign up close to deadline. Deadline is a deadline. You should have waited before pulling out conclusions about slots.
Unfortunately we need to have things finalised in advance. A week before christmas, CoD4 had 44 signups, ETQW had 16 and ET had 8. Even figuring for late signups in ET, I wouldn't have expected it to overtake ETQW with those numbers.
And there was no reason to think we wouldn't get similar late surges in CoD4 and ETQW either.
59 CoD4 teams for 40 spots = 1.475
32 ET teams for 12 spots = 2.667
20 QW teams for 12 spots =1.667
