Hello my e-friends,

I am contemplating heading to Norway. Why you may ask yourselves, am I contemplating heading to Norway? I respond as follows: because Everton are playing SK Bergen in the UEFA Cup on the 13th of February. However, I would like to see more of the country than just Bergen.

What can any Norwegians tell me about the country? Are there any Brann fans out there? That reminds me of Brann Van 3000, and their seminal hit 'Drinking in LA'. I digress.

PS. I may be available for Valentines Day romancing!

Well, I've been to Bergen once or so, so I can't tell you much about what to do there. I know there's a lift that goes up the hill there so you can get a view of the city, depends what you want to do.

I want to see picturesque and affecting scenery, in which I can contemplate the mysteries of life. Definitely fjords also!

Yeah :) The fjords are kind of icy at the moment, but there's loads of other nice things to see. You could try skiing or snowboarding, just take the train (Bergensbanen) and you'll see some amazing scenery, and stop whenever you want.

In Norway they eat only fish and work on oil floats. Black metal is the only approved music genre, everyone who doesnt listen to black metal will be sacrificed to some random gods they believe in.

Coming from Norway I suggest you visit Oslo as well, but it all depends what you want to do really. Do you want to see fjords, go to museums and all that stuff?

Some basic stuff about Norway, it's fucking expensive - especially Oslo - Oslo is the most expensive city in the whole world after Tokyo. 0.5 litres of beer cost anywhere between 5-9 pounds :x

Bergen is one of the cities in the world that has the most rain during the year - so bring your umbrella (or buy one at the umbrella machines, I am not kidding). :D

Well, wouldn't normally be able to afford it myself, but my grandad is donating some money to charitable causes (me) to avoid inheritance tax liabilities. Perhaps I should be grateful for the Government's onerous inheritance tax.

my bro just got back from stavanger, taxes and prices in norway are HUGE. =/ expensive place to live, but beautieful none the less.
