I wasn't 100% sure what was wrong with it, so I gave it to somebody that would be able to test it.

If I knew what the problem was exactly I would have fixed it myself (as I always do). :P

Turned out to be a shorted MoBo.

well i work in HP quaranty company. i do hp pavilion laptops.
if laptop is broken and its not under quaranty then the bill is never under 100EUR , usualy its something between 200 and 400EUR.

computer parts ain cheap :)

and thats normal price for mobo + work.
