"safely remove hardware"

the icon got into my system tray, it offers me to remove my hardisk :S *edit* did not have this before..

there has come a .rnd file on my C: , between the windows folder and program files folder etc.. ? *edit* still dunno where this file came from...

When I search a server on COD4, ET or Q3:cpma my comp gets laggy (master server prob?) once in game, it's all good.. *edit* this was solved after removing 253 tracking cookies and 2 trojans

All this happens after I started working with new GFX drivers, I used driver cleaner in safe mode, removed the nvidia drivers and after that I installed fresh forceware. Next I had to reinstall my networkcard, which has nForce chipdrivers (deleted them to accidently?? :<)

+I feel hacked, now scanning for adware and vira (?) Antispyware shows 253 infected objects :/ *edit* infected objects + 2 trojans removed

ffs, I even had a strange DOS boot, after that my windows never started, untill reset

That's nvidia drivers causing this, possible tweak:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\nvata]
"DisableRemovable"=dword:00000001

I switched from 77.77 to 81.84 for my GeForce 6800GT PCIexpress... Is the problem caused by these new drivers? And do you mean I should install that WREV 5.00 and add that line to my registry at that given location?

What would happen if I click "stoppen" on that tab of "hardware veilig verwijderen" , would my windows stop working immediately?

It's the nforce drivers causing this. If you click stop i think your extra hdd's are able to be stopped, but not your windows hdd :z
