fun fun fun

just got a new pc and im already having problems. my cpu usage is at a constant 50% even when im not doing anything. my downloads keep crashing, i.e et and it keeps disconnecting me from msn +mirc even though my connection to the internet is fine. who can be my superman and tell me what the problem is?

p.s. im on vista...
