8800ultra is the best still, but if you want some fps for $, you should buy the 8800gts 512mb :)

X1950GT. There is no better than AGP or PCI-E, u have to take what ur mbo supports,and as mr. ABORTUS said, ur cpu wont use whole potential of that card.

ATI X1950 Pro. DX9 card, but quite fast. About the same overall speed as the old GF 8600 GTS.

If you can find a used GF 7900GTX, go for it.
