http://www.frag-tube.com/play.php?vid=151 i know like that it isn't allowed because u can see "through" the trees. is it still possible to get such settings with the normal tree? that just looks so great.

It's done by using rivatuner. Rivatuner doesnt allow for it by default, you need to add a new registry entry to increase the range of the lod bias. Sadly enough it removes trees and crosshair and is considered cheating in competition.

Its easily detectable by pbss so you should be a total retard to use it.There is however a simple trick to turn the trees on and off, but I dont think many ppl know about it. Even if somebody uses it, he'd still have to play without an external xhair and it would show up on pbss :P (no i wont tell you how to do it)
