i think resources are the main cause of wars (at least the american liberation campaign). and ofc preemptive strikes. the rest are ethnic differences, which is a very stupid cause. someone bumped into someone from another tribe 5000 years ago. the other guy punched him. the first guy hit him with a rock. the other guy snapped his neck. the first guys brother killed the other guy. the other guys family killed the first guys family. the two tribes start killing each other, each of them claiming the other one is the devil. and so on until today. all because of one bump 5000 years ago. congrats.
in most cases resources are the reason to do so, and religion is often used as an excuse and way to rid themselves of responsibility.
in other cases its simply a matter of hating eachothers religion or being indoctrinated that your religion is the only true one and you need to eradicate anything else.
well i never heard of any religion based speeches. but there usually is a big meanie presented as the negative stereotype of that countries main religion.
yes I do. I put labels on christians who come up with dumbass shit as www.godhatesfags.com and you know why i do that? Cuz they are fucking crazy mate!
And yes I label them, and yes I'm very very VERY different from these religious freaks and very VERY happy about it. I LOVE the fact that I dont need to fall back on a devine creature to soften my own responsibility in life and I LOVE the fact that I dont need to hate gays or feel a need to force my way of life onto ppl.
it's my opinion that they are crazy. Comparing me to ppl like that is simply absurd. The difference between me and them is that I don't put my believes to practice and force them upon others.
live and let live mate. and that's something religion can't do. By definition religious ppl are intollerant due to a very simple line "thou shalt not worship any other god but me"
it is a very simple matter. Ppl ARE different and putting labels on them is not wrong. The fact that labels on groups of ppl makes differences in the world is also not wrong. I dont care about the fact that my neighbour thinks being gay is bad. I don't care if he'd think that jezus will come down to save us all on march the 14th 2015. Really, I don't care. We are very different and that's fine, just as long as you don't force your differences upon one another. And correct me if I'm wrong but it's usually the religious types that try to force it upon others or feel the need to bring their believes to practice on others.
Everybody puts labels on eachother. That simply happens when a person becomes conscious of its environment and starts having his own opinion and values because of its environment. Labelling people is almost inevitable. I also don't see the connection between atheism not giving 'an answer', and labelling people. Truth and labelling/prejudice are two different things.
it says that relations between same sex ppl arent moral, and that it is a sin (quick interpretation by a fanatic: burn the fags). but it also says that you should accept ppl that are different than you (quick interpretation by a fanatic: wha? me no understand that, kill the fag!)
I think the pasage with "homosexuality is an abomination" is somewhere in deutoronomy. Ofc there are also many other things there, that are abominations. People who say we should act "like it says" in the bible are full of shit, because there is no cohesive ethical message in the damn thing and we dont get our morals from scripture in the first place.
Edit: oops i was wrong, its Leviticus 18:22: "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
Thanks for buying into that religious lie. Atheism is not a new beliefsystem it is the absence of theistic beliefs. Atheism cant be a beliefsystem since it doesnt contain ANY doctrin or message whatsoever, except for "there is no god". Not all atheists are against religion(although i consider myself an anti-theist), trying to rally atheists is like herding cats, since most are very individual persons with different ethics and political ideals.
Lol @ website
cu@hell bitches

THOU SHALL REPENT! REPEEEENT!

"putting labels on people is wrong and brings differences between them"
vs
"every person has a right to say what he wants"

I don't BELIEVE that there's no God. I don't believe there's a God.
It's non-belief.
I came across a couple of amusing comparisons:
"Calling atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair colour."
and
"Atheism being a religion is like calling NOT collecting stamps a hobby."
