Codecs?

Hey, i am a real noob when it comes to codecs and so on, i downloaded a ffdshow and installed it, and if u look at my other journal the movie? <-- one it will have a pic and the same thing happens but only with the one i make,


and i need better compression when i compress from vdub it comes out as 2gig for 35 second thing? help please
