razer baracuda HP1

I got my razer barracuda set(AC 1 soundcard and HP-1 headset) but my headset isn't working. in my hardware it says "audio device connected to high definition bus " but i can't get any sound out of it... an old headset does work on it though but it has a wire lose and won't live much longer. I need your help...

what drivers?Ii have installed the barracuda drivers that come with the card and i get sound out of it to my other headset but not to the HP-1 headset...

return the headset to the shop and get a Sennheiser one! :P

bought it in the Netherlands so the shop is quite far away.

made some progress in the meanwhile... i got sound from my right front speaker in my headset
that's it...

is it connected through some kind of an amplifier or directly to the mini-jack port?

amplifier imo. it's not connected with jacks though but with a port that looks similar to that of current grafical cards named HD-DAI.

Could just be faulty? If worst comes to the worst you can send it back to razer and get a replacement as long as you have proof of purchase.
