usb probs

This is a repost since more people will see this one.

Im having a problem with windows and usb, it wont read any flash drives or cd drives.. I get an error message saying "windows does not recognise a usb device" it will read my ipod though which windows classes as a flash drive.

Others seem to be having the same problem with no fix either.

got same, but i got no message from windows. i heard "try to update usb drivers" dunno if it works. cant find drivers for my usb, maybe u have better chance

Guten Morgen! yea there shouldn't be any usb drivers they should be already there with windows :< its a sucky problem

how many usbports u have ? with some pc's its possible that some ports recognize it and some not. just switch and try it out

I have switched them around doesn't make a difference, it's only flash drive and usb dvd drives it wont read everything else is fine :\

i got same prob with all usb ports.
is there a possibility to change smth in bios for example?
