my left mousebutton seems to be dying... it doesnt respond every time i click it.
i cant take it back to the store cuz i bought it from someone else...
is it wise to open it up and see if there is any dirt inside so i can clean it?

but i know the problem is with the left mouse button and i found a screw at the bottom of the mouse :P
so if it aint dirt, its just broken so then i need a new mouse anyway...
Logitech will check the date of manufacturing via serial number...and théy will send u a new one
theres no nee for a bill to get warranty service! U just need to prove...and therefore r many ways ;)
btw HP or Logitech give u about 27 months warranty instead of 24 ;)
i still have the box and all but not the bill...
do you have any experience with sending your mouse (or other hardware) back without a bill?
as i said, it´s a wrong opinion (at least here in germany everyone thinks: no warranty without bill): theres no need for a bill in European law. U "only" need a proof, but beside the bill there r couple of other ways...like a 2nd person can proof that u bought it.
Just send it back to logitech and u´ll see. They check the serial number and out of that they´ll get the manufacturing date... Logitech´s support is nice to costumers, give it a try!!!
a last tip: Be honest, tell ´em u bought it from a private seller, but dont say ebay ;)
Just write a letter like "it was a christmas present in 2006 but my aunt didnt save the bill. Would it be possible to check if there is still warranty for that mouse?" or sth. lke that

I www.logitech.nl
maybe call ´em first...u can ask for that before sending the mouse away ;)
Thanks for your help man!
edit: btw i think you got the wrong link? :P
they are sending me a new G5 :D within 4 days :D
thanks ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i luv you! and logitech customer service :D
another argument for logitech > Razer ;)
but within 4 days is very nice....i would have expected 2 weeks... gl with ur new mouse!
now I got an mx 518.. still workin
