thats the whole debate.... i would say a big club is a club that has won trophies in the recent past and are known worldwide, and would be mentioned as a big club by foreign ppl
compared to european big clubs they are small
imo the 4 clubs in england that have european standard and can be called big by that are arsenal chelsea liver and manu
where did i say that all leagues have 4 clubs with european standard?
i could name 2/3 in spain 3/4 in in italy 1/2 in germany and 1 in portugal
newcastle didnt win anything in the last 50 years and even though the premiere league is maybe the best league atm with the highest concentration of big clubs but that doesnt automatically make all clubs in it big
in its 10 last games newcastle lost against 3 of the teams i called european high class and they would prolly do the same against the european teams i consider big at the moment
We were talking about a "European Standard" which implies that there are more better teams in the leagues I've mention than there are in the Premeirship.

here I'll start you off
Premiership
Man U
Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool
now you do the big euro clubs (they should all be comparable in size with the Premiership 4)
lets see if La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga have 4 teams each that are the same size because standard would suggest so wouldn't it
