loose the quadcore and go for a dualcore 6750 and take a 8800gt instead
Oh and 4 gig is overkill.. 2 is enough for now

vista isn't that bad, i got it with my new pc, too and i didn't have any problems with it

the security questions are a little bit annoying and you have to configure a lot till it's working good
but since i got it the way i like to have it, i'm satisfied

no vista imo. It's a heavy resource hog and quite useless. It doesn't provide anything usefull over XP (apart from the eyecandy) and usually annoys ppl more than it does good.

nope. Dunno where you heard that but all this "Made for Windows Vista" labels on pc's is just crap. Hardware is hardware and should be compatible to industry standards, not software.

Personally I'd go for an Antec Earthwatts powersupply. They are good, extremely quiet and more efficient with power-consumption. Not that I take the whole environmental thing serious or anything but it simply results in a lower electrical bill ;)

2nd, don't go for the 8600GT. Spend the extra 75 euros and get yourself an 8800GT. The umpf that that card pumps out is definitely worth it.

As for how long the pc would be "ok", I recon you could easily game for a couple years on it.

One small tip, be aware that the Asus p5k boards (all versions) use the atansic network chip and so far I've had two boards on which the network chip simply stopped working and resulted in windows not booting anymore and bluescreening. After googling it appears there are more ppl having the same problems with this network chip. Just FYI.

yea but u cant save much from Ram, but 100 euros case is just too much imo considering the vga u want to buy

i bought AeroengineII. case, cost 50 euros and its also pretty good
