Question a big one!!!

As you may of seen my rig in my profile, it aint that great :(.

I am erming and arghing about selling my rig for something much better but more money :).

My current rig!!

CPU: 4400+x2 AMD
HD: 200GB
Mouse: Razer Diamondback 3G
Mousepad: 1337 Sharkoon Cloth mat
Sound: X-FI Fatality
Graphics: 7800GT 256mb
Memory: 2GB
O/S: XP/Vista
Connection: 20mb Cable

And I have made a great computer up and was wondering if anyone can give me some ideas on what to change and what not to get.

I was going to sell all of my computer for

A ASUS 1333mhz ddr3 mobo
CORE DUO QUAD 2.4GHZ
2-4gb ddr3
8800GT 512
X-FI SOUND CARD

a case for £18

I will sell my comp and I will have to pay another £120 to make it :).

What do you all think.

PS my current case is still £130-140 on ebay and in shops :D.

I brought that comp for £1,600 3 years ago :).

make sure you safe deleted all data from the hdd you want to sell..

I would take an AM2+ Board, a 6000+/6400+ and update when a decent phenom is out. Rest is good.

Uhm dont buy DDR3. It is way more expensive and isnt better then DDR2.
And the X-FI is only good when u have a good headphone or great speakers.

Intel chips = the best. And get some ddr2 atm.

Thanks for the advice :P, why go to AM2 though ??? It's 1 above mine and they are old technology. Also AMD are slacking way behind since Intel released Dual core in 2006, they have been at it constantly.

Intel seems the best way to go atm.
