not bad, but take a good soundcard!
better take the E8400. It's better then the E6750:)
Most people think that Gigabyte mobo's are better then Asus. So consider a Gigabyte mobo.
i dont care if it's better, it will cost me 100 euro more ;G

LOOOOOOOL :XD?
Parent
Afaik Alternate is way more expensive then azerty.
Parent
Maybe think about the Antec Sonata III , 500 Watt ( high quality ) powersupply included, and looks really nice + it will save you about 60 euros.
is the psu already included ? so 60 euros for case + psu..

btw it looks so short, it makes me think of a

Parent
It will save you 60 euros, so its about 100 euros.
Parent
agree.

103 euro @ azerty..
Parent
agreed atemi wanted to say the same. You save alot of money with that antec and its good shit + you can get 4GB of ram than.

and take E8400! And i am missing a harddisk.
Parent
4 gb ram = overkill since vista only uses 3 and a bit because vista is 64 bit...

e6750 = monster when it's overclocked

still have my 250 gb hdd of my old pc

and i really really really love that antec 900 case! that antec case atemi posted seems to have a shit airflow if you ask me

hoe gaat ie nog btw zenix ;D?

Crazy overclock
Parent
vista 64bit can use up to ....GB ram, you can buy 4 GB, take the vista home premium 64bit, not 32bit. And E8200 ;)
Parent
Theoretically the limit is something like 16 exabyte.
Parent
yeah i know it was very much, didnt know how much exactly
Parent
nice@OCZ 2gb at 45 euro...
You don't need new pc for that bot :O)
you are so incredibly funny!
Parent
i guess it's not his intention to be funny.
Parent
dont buy that asus 8800gt, unable to adjust fan speeds so it spins like a bot in its prime.
If you're really intending to push that e6750 to the max, I'd suggest Crucial Balistix mem.
- Asus P5K (Retail, FireWire, RAID, Gb-LAN, Sound, ATX) 95 EUR
DFI would be my first choice, but in that price range you should really consider Gigabyte.

- OCZ 2 GB DDR2-800 Kit (XTC Gold GX, OCZ2G8002GK) 45 EUR
Consider PC-8500 RAM, preferably from a less bling-y brand, like Corsair or G.Skill.

- OCZ StealthXStream 500W (Retail, Zwart, 2x PCIe) 60 EUR
Again, OCZ is bling-y crap. Buy an Antec EarthPower instead, good for your computer, your power bill and the environment.

- Antec Nine Hundred (Retail, Zwart, 200mm Fan) 100 EUR
I think this case is really ugly, but that doesn't matter. If the fans it ships with happen to be noisy, exchange them with Zalman ones for about 8€ a piece.

- Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6750 (Boxed, FC-LGA6) 175 EUR
I can get a E8400 for the same price, so should you.

- Asus EN8800GT/G/HTDP/512M (Retail, TV-Out, 2x DVI) 240 EUR
You can buy a BFG/XFX/Gainward card for the same price, why bother with Asus?

- Arctic-Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (Retail, Zilver/Zwart) 20 EUR
Zalman > AC, but meh, it's not like that processor will need any heavy-duty cooling anyways.
for a simple overclock thats good enough, zalman is to expensive, if you want a good cooler Scythe or Thermaltake is >>>>> Zalman
Parent
Here Zalman/Scythe/Thermaltake are about equally priced and while they all deliver about the same performance, I find Zalman much more aesthetically pleasing. :p
Parent
read reviews etc. Scythe and especially Thermaltake are the best coolers now.
Parent
Which coolers specifically?
Parent
Thermaltake Big Typhoon CL-P0114
Scythe Mugen
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
Parent
Thermaltake Big Typhoon: 49,90 €
Scythe Mugen: 52,00 €
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme: 62,40 €
Zalman CNPS9700: 49,40 €

And performance-wise there are minor differences, except for the Ultra-120 justifying its price by being better than the rest.
Parent
Thermaltake Big Typhoon: 40€
Scythe Mugen: 45€
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme: 56€
Zalman CNPS9700: 60€

Looks nice, but I would honestly take a QUAD CORE. I know no applications support it yet (well apart from crysis should do soon), but ET does not even support dual core. Quad core is cheap atm so I would hurry and get one. Be future proof as I'm sure you dont wonna do what I did and buy a 939 socket AMDX2 then they release AM2 a month later :S.
you call ~300 euros cheap =D?
Parent
q6600 is 230e
Parent
skt939 was not a bad choice, since now u can get 4000+ for 40 euros for example.
Parent
I spose your right but I have no way of updating because the CPU above mine is a 4800+ or a FX which was over £300 last time i checked, £800 at the time :S.

4800+ is not faster than mine by much just around 200mhz and a big price difference.

939 was really good, i got highest fps on a modding and overclocking forum at every game. WITHOUT OVC :D.
Parent
yeah ok, u have my permission to send it to me
what horrible said, take ballistix if u ll OC that cpu that much..but i would take E8400 without any doubts. take corsair psu, corsair 450w is more than enough for that PC...but still, why would u need 4ghz CPU? will u really use all potential of that cpu? no fucking way.
I have E2140 with P31-DS3L (check the prices of these things) and i got 3ghz with stock voltage and box cooler...doubt u need smth more, especially if u r just playing
