i'd like to think twk unmasks set a new barrier for et moviemaking in some areas, and its nice to see that some movies already include elements inspired by my movie
i dont think you can name the best movie, but there are definitely many nice movies out there. i have my doubts about the future tho. not that many people seem to put any effort in making a top movie.
What did your movie do next to lots of sync. I dont think you set a new barrier in making movies. Everyone can make a movie with huge sync if they have enough time + inspiration for making the movie.
not just the sync. using cameras in a proper way, not just so that there are cameras. lots of other tricks that can be done using ct3d (zooming without quality loss, camera/player switch). i wont mention the use of effects and transitions. as it goes for the effects alone: i've been getting lots of pms about after effects, since the movie was edited and composed entirely in afx, not the usual vegas/premiere most of the moviemakers use these days - afx opens a whole new world of options when it comes to editing.
the one thing i've been hoping for since the release of superboyy puran movie, is that ppl would not use software that blends frames before they edit and compose footage (tga merge, its a wrap, etc), and still bothers me with most of the movies that are released today. through entire movie you can see a constant timescale (or a few constant timescales), instead of a dynamic velocity control, as seen in my movie. limits syncing possibilities so much.
I don't really think the people who chose to use these tools would have synced more without them though; they would just have made the same unsynced movie but without motion blur (which, truth to be told, in some cases would have resulted in slightly better looking movies).
Besides, Ender showed that it's possible to get the best of both worlds.
