dual core amd 6000

Ive got dual core CPU ... but how/when can i use both cores ?

do I need diffrent O/s like VISTA or 64 bit one ?

ive got XP home sp2 .

Is there any way to give a kick to ET with second core ?

they usually are used
to check that, open the taskmanager (ctrl + alt + del) and go to processes. rightclick on the process you want to check and click on the button at the bottom.

Definitely not recommended to use both cores for ET as far as I know (at least for Intel Core 2 Duo).

i left it on 0 ( 0 or 1 options are available in afinity in task manager)

is that ok ?

Yeah, 0 stands for first core, 1 for the second core. Windows XP isn't optimized for dual core systems anything, but most programs will choose the appropriate settings automatically anyway. Don't count on older programs and games to use both cores to their full extent, 50% average CPU load is a common phenomena.

amd 64x2 are shit for et, afaik et doesn't support dual core!

that's correct, but XP uses 2 cores without any problems
