Bug in crossfire ?

Age: 16 ( 18 February 1992 )

As you can see Crossfire sets my age at 16 while I'm only 15 at this very day (not for long though)

Edit: what's the command to stop ET from autorecording :x

If this is what I think it is... it is not a real bug, more like a feature :)

You are now 16 years old, if you count the seconds since you were born and not in days and dates; did that make any sense?
nope, try again
Parent
Time (seconds, hours, days, etc.) in computers are calculated by calculating how many seconds that has past since January 1st 1970.

Now this means that 16 years, in seconds, has passed since the 18th of February 1992, eventhough the date is 16th of Febuary.

Make sense now?
Parent
but this means that the computer has calculated 172800 (2 days) to much

that is a flow too since even if you work with seconds you should still come to that exact day
Parent
No, time is not the same as a calender. A calender has leap years and wierd stuff; time is constant.
Parent
leap yearz man

In the Gregorian calendar, the current standard calendar in most of the world, most years that are divisible by 4 are leap years. In a leap year, the month of February has 29 days instead of 28. This compensates for the fact that a solar year is about 6 hours longer than 365 days, by adding an extra day to the calendar every four years.
However, the duration of a solar year is slightly less than 365.25 days, requiring some exceptions to this rule.

nice try, but you ... FAILED

You should really be careful, you could be banned for that. I am trying to help, and yet you flame.

I wish you good luck in your life.

sounds cool, thnx
Parent
that is true, but it _is_ common use to calculate age by the calender, so unless xfire wants another 500 journals about this topic, it might be a good idea to change this, although just using timestamps is the easier way to program...
Parent
the time in Croffire is fucked up 2
till tomorrow its less then a day...
/stoprecord

now that's what I needed , thx

Age: 17 ( 26 November 1990 )

if you would work in years you would be 18 now
There are these things called leap years
15 = 2 young for this community :0)

Parent
let me guess, u were afraid that noone is gonna notice you got a birthday and make a journal about it, so you thought u'd let everyone know and get a journal that way? :P nah j/k, i noticed that bug quite long time ago -.-
Parent
i love you
go buy alcohol! if they say you are 15 say them they are lieing cuz your Crossfire acc says you are 16!
maybe on Antarctica there are other rules about counting your age!
Theres like 193728047324894 journals about this already :SA:S:S.s.ss.A:SA:A:S.s:SAS:A:SDA:ASD::S:SDA:SAS:
