stupid pop-up(dutch)

recently i'm getting a dumb pop-up by internet explorer(i use firefox so don't know how this happened) which i would like to block. i know the address is (xvu.it) so i would like to block this website address from appearing again. it annoys me that it just pops in when i'm on irc...


i looked in ie options but couldn't find it right away... since i don't normally use it

Sure it's not a worm that keeps opening the process (IE), even though you shut it down? Look through your processes for any suspicious filename.

goto : C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
open host file and add line:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 http://www.top66.ro/
127.0.0.3 www.top66.ro
etc
etc.

Still just recently a journal got deleted for this very reason.
