Went out for a meal on sat, came to pay for it at the end, £35.
using mistro and a pin machine they made a mistake and only charged me £0.35 So that amount was credited out of my account.
Then a few hours later a further £34.65 was credited from my account. I'd not gave them any permision ( i.e re entered my pin number ) so how is this possible? If so any shop could just take as much as they want from you after the transaction?
also ive have the receipt for £0.35

Just didnt relise they could take more money from an already processed transaction
Edit: I've asked a friend, who is working in a bank. He said it's easily explainable, at least it's how it works in Germany. They got your bank information with your card. The pin is just the gate to supply your on the card saved bank informations. They can read it out and now they start a debit note. So they can start as many debit notes as they want. You can protest against every debit note for 6 weeks. So if they would like to get 600 € of you, then they could do it. Entering a pin doesn't mean to give your permission, it's earlier a security thing for the restaurant to be sure that you are the real owner of the bank account, otherwise you could waste thousand euros with a stolen card and the real owner is getting back his money with a protest, so the owner of the restaurant wouldn't get any money.
I hope you get what I mean. Poor English, but I am too lazy to rewrite it.
Just pissed they took money off me which i had not validated, which i'm sure is illegal,
+ the meal wasnt really that good
if you mean that they got the price wrong and then debited you the rest, well they shouldn't have done that but if you do get your money back your bank branch will probably end up paying them - so you may have a shitty time doing so
