If, for example, Random NME Band #23843 never went with their label, they wouldn't have made it and never would have made any money, and wouldn't be in NME (which is probably a good thing for us, and them).

that's so not true, he released the whole cd for free.. or am I totaly wrong?
If you want to have all 36 tracks you need to pay at least 5$. Check the website linked above.
- all instrumental (at least the first volume)
- doesn't make me want to buy the other 3 volumes (read: I expected something different)
