quake 3 1v1!! not cpm because as we know, no1 pays for that! eswc rules instead so cpm.vq3 :) would go nicely imo with eswc running it too and quake live soon

do you know how many people are entering the eswc qualifiers in each country from those that have been announced so far? :) we are not talking cpm here, were talking vq3.

imo 16 signups guaranteed, i'd even say as many as 32 :)

thats cpm, not vq3.

warsow was a massive failure with 9 people paying which then went down to 8... although you can argue that those 8 were nice guys and had fun at the event and represented cdc4 well?!

q3 cpm admittedly would also fail completely as it has done before, even if its 10x better than warsow...

vq3 however, seems like a good way to go and is guaranteed results with a nice prizepot and because eswc is running along side it and quake live soon... better than risking it for warsow which has gone downhill at cdc4 (yes i did like it once upon a time as did many others)

but above all

i want to goto a .NL lan and i think its better than removing a 1v1 fps game completely which as much as i like cdc supporting a freeware game that has potencial, is probably likely to happen and i think it would be a nice alternative

vq3 is slow weapon switches and no air control, its basically the standard game, but cpm.vq3 and osp enhanced vq3 to give it competition qualities, then cpm enhanced it further with air control and fws, which not everyone likes, so people stay with the one inbetween which was used by the cpl or whoever first and everyone stuck with :)

no not atall, depends on your POV :) there like 2 totally different games :) vq3 is the way forward with competition though, when cpm created promode movement not everyone liked it, and more players stayed at vq3 than promode :)

agree, cpm would be perfect but vq3 is fine too

warsow is a nice game but it just isn't quake 3
