what shall i buy??

hi cf guys
i really need help now
almost everyone knows that my fps are not that good so im going to buy new hardware and want you to help me

current pc:
pentium IV with 3,2ghz
internal memory: 512 mb
graphic card: geforce 8500gt

oh and i dont need expensive hardware because im playing only enemy territory

8800GT is a monster gfx...i recommand it 100% to buy it.
im also statefied with my current Q6600 alltought peoples will tell u E8400(or something) would be better for gaming

That's a fact? :o I would say that buying more memory would still be the cheapest and easiest way to upgrade your pc in that case. :)

increase mem to 1 gb

I have 125 fps stable (except grush + radar) with:
Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2,6 GHz
1 gig ram
geforce fx5500 256 mb

and if you want to buy a whole new PC, keep the graphiccard if you only play ET and just buy a cheap dual core and 2 gig ram or smth.

try to play with 40 fps on almost every map
i dont get even 30+ on grush and i wont mention something about RADAR :p

That's odd, because I'm on a P4 3.0, 2GB RAM and a GeForce 7600 and I get 125 Constant.

Try turning off Xfire when you play (if you use it).

Hard to tell whats wrong then, your CPU and GFX should be enought for 250fps stable.

Probably PB initializing or your PC might get overheated, try to put ET priority on max, and PB on lowest(do it in ctrl+alt+delete processes).

but i cant select the priority of punkbusterA and B

and i cant understand why et is at first in need of 80k of my memory and after 10 seconds 100k etc. the number is still growing
