few questions about ETQW

first of all, i only played ETQW at a friends house for like 20 min orso..
i was interested in playing active right from the start, but since my pc is from the middle-ages i wasnt able..

to the point..
-is it a game where 1o1 action is a high standard?
-do the sniperbullets hit when you press MOUSE1 (cuz on fm's there are bullettracers long after youve shot..)
-is QW a game where you are kinda forced to have highaim cuz of the large surroundings?
-how are the overall "skills" of the players? i know its a new game but still i dont like getting owned over and over..
-is thre a large community playing ETQW?
-what is your oppinion about ETQW?

soz for dumb question and/or my engrish

1o1 action is not important, it's much more about teamplay
there's a slight delay on sniper bullets, but controlling it is considered part of the skill
large surroundings mean it's less about aim
it's easy to get good
there's a very small community
it's good, just takes getting used to :)
first one to take this journal serious, thanks for your input..

edit: how many shots to kill a med with full hp?

i'm not sure, it changes depending on whether you're using promod or not etc. so i couldn't tell you ;<

and what weapon they spamming you with :)

I only played the game for one week so Its hard for me to judge but the game itself seems pretty complicated with a very steep learning curve, but ppl playing the game aren't that skilled?
Parent
well in your "back from cdc4" journal you said it was easy to get good
Parent
no, I said the ppl who played it weren't skilled, not getting their cfg to work, not using binds etc.

".. They dont give a crap about the spawntimes and the game doesnt force you to. When you attack getting from your spawn to the target takes 2 spawntimes. When they were defending players were just getting fulls all over the place. Anyway ETQW = noobgame. I guess I should start playing it as any med skilled guy can play in uberhigh pro ETQW team it seems ... yo ucan even plant mines at any spot in the map!!"

Yeah, thats my overdriving my opinion about ETQW. I guess I was just jealous that all the logitech guys got sponsored teh nice stuff, but they didnt look that 'topnotch' tbh.

FaT Chicks rule unless you have a short dick

game's not difficult to understand once you learn the basics tbh, but most of what you said is right

QW is such a nice game
good gameplay and stuff
- on a scale from CoD4 to W:ET its in the middle
- sniperbullets are hitscan but have a slow delay due to antilag, and sniping small vehicles like huskies and icarus's is hard because they are not antilagged
- No, there are ironsights etc to help you aim at longer distances
- Same as in W:ET, everyone thinks he is med+ while they are low+
- mediocre sized community
- I like it a lot
"- Same as in W:ET, everyone thinks he is med+ while they are low+"

Yes, but if someone had been playing ET for quite long time, he will be higher skilled in ETQW than in ET. It's like RTCW and ET a few years ago. Maybe they are/were low+, but other players are/were like low-... so according to this, he can call him med+ skilled player.

"- on a scale from CoD4 to W:ET its in the middle"

ETQW has one thing worse than CoD 4 - community. It's really hard to find a clan when you can choose from only a few (in Poland). Anyway, the game is really nice untill your clan won't give up.

Aim is important but you are not often playing 1o1 actions. With a good teamworking clan you are also able to win when the others have better skill. So teamwork > skill. The community is smaller than big games like CSS, ET, BF2, CS1.6, CoD4 but it isn´t a small community. (http://archive.gamespy.com/stats/) On ranked server everyone can kill others, on etqwpro its a bit more difficult, but in my opinion the skilled people I know (#qw.gather) are not that skilled like in ET :).
I never played in a etqw clan until now, my only knowlege is from publicservers and the #qw.gather...hope my info is right
Tbh it requirs much more skill than ET because you can do much more than in ET, deployables, vehicles etc.

The sniper is really really accurate, the fall dmg is quite big though so a headshot on a far distance isn't insta-frag.

You are not forced to have highsens, I have 170 degrees on 40 cm, no problem.

Individual skills are important and the difference between the best teams and the less better teams are individual skill. One man can do alot in QW, but ofc teamplay is very important.
The game is more difficult, the people who play it are at a much lower skill level though imo...at the highest level there is exceptions of (4k, dig, SL, komp etc.) but for the majority the skill level is lower imo

Since when did more = better?

Played it 30-40h
Got new computer and played it there with ultra graphic... very nice.
But still I think its damm easy game. I defendet some brains alone and dueling with 2 guys at the same time is easy.

In ET when somebody shoots back your screen shakes so its harder to aim. In QW there is no shake.... After ET it feels so easy.
In ET you have to avoid bullets to even get the aim on enemy.

Other thingi is stupid tanks and flying ants or what ever bugs they are. Im medic defending CP or something like that. Come 1 guy I own him, after few sec he comes again and I own him. Third spawn he comes with tank and hmm... well I have few nades and lacerator....... SK?

About clanwars, it was always hard for me to find match. But when you find it its fun for a while.
