I was just thinking what would it be like if you had teams of the best players ever to play the game competing in the 'best possible team' for each country at nations cup. Finland is a pain because you can fill about 4 teams all of which would dominate any other nation. Aside from that, though, I could only think of a few nations that can really put together quality sides - Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Estonia, and maybe the UK (lacking a really good rifle), Poland and Sweden. My lineups:
Mystic, Replicator, Jauhis, Xpaz, Squall, Raveneye (backups: Morty, Sanctity, Juhan)
mAx, Ganon, Shewie, mAus, dav1d, lioco (backups: kevin, snot, mika)
Azatej, teKoa, m1lk, perfo, Lun4t1c, mika (backups: Bull, Lightning, fost)
Urtier, Senji, Butchji, weaK, snoop, hazer (backups: Evil, gambit, second/ramin)
Night, reload, gza, intact, elps, r3vers (backups: InterFace, d0zer, Holz)
Mztik, Sheep, Razz, Sqzz, Traducer, Adzz (backups: Syk, Sock, Lynx)
kot, wiesiek, wrobel, lockheed, s4rna, doktor (backups: tsunami, tasslehoff, rico)
Lotix, Crajsor, Ozzy, ferus, FeTTe, blaze (backups: pjoter, tornis, jonas)
(And I'm too tired to think straight, so I probably missed a heap of great players. Plus this journal is essentially pointless, random babbling because I'm bored.)

s4rna is a pretty decent rifle, although there were better dedicated rifles in poland.

Even though old times are hard to compare to ET nowadays.
even though other names might come to mind. sem, Fratze, LiciD, (perhaps Witz), some of the other stazi players, some old Krea players, and maybe even modus but he retained a low profile over the years

Sweden was annoying - I got past the obvious 4 (ferus, ozzy, lotix, crajsor) and then there are dozens of swedes I don't know much about from really early ET (iN and stuff), some other really good RtCW swedes who probably only played ET for a week, plus a lot of 'good but not amazing' swedes from later periods.

Hmm RocketZ pwnd but was never put to the test, crajsor will force you to put Svea on it. We've had really dedicated guys like civ aswell.
And why is everybody underrating Kevin so badly? He's easily one of the best Belgian players ever.

Sweden and the UK have produced only a handful of good players ever, and your excuse that we lacked a good rifle is kinda redundant, since so have Germany. I'd only say ferus and lotix, and no one from the UK. Estonia is an oddball, essentially because they produced only a handful of good players (enough to make a full team, thankfully) but were insanely skilled.
Would rape pretty much anything that enters a server, provided they were semi-active!

I agree with sp3aker, definitely put lepari into FIN. Idk about the other 3 tho...

People who played in 2004 should know all players :)
zaskronietz, frag'stealer, doktor, kot, wiesiek & tsunami for tl and ec is theirs
considering all of them were active & their top form dunno who could beat them.
