ET jagged problems

I have a fairly brand new PC. I've been playing ETQW for a while and thought I'd played a fun 3v3 for old times sake on ET.
For some reason I was getting really jagged gameplay.
It was like it was skipping frames or something.
I have no idea why as it should work fine :S

Any help is appreciated! Sorry about my crappy description but I have no idea how to solve this.

specs of your fairly brand new PC?
8800
2gig ram
2.3 duel core
etc etc
Parent
nice, which 2.3 duel core and how much have you paid?
Parent
1.3 duel core is not that good tbh
Parent
btw it's dual-core :}
Parent
and a 2.3 xD some typos :<
Parent
Its an E6550
Parent
naiz ;x
Parent
same specs as me!
Parent
epic lulz, idd single-core ftw!
you have idea to solve this? so do it
Can u read, bitch?1
Parent
its edited hoe
Parent
i could go back to when its not edited yet to make a ss and upload it, but im too lazy
Parent
U can go back in time :OO
Parent
actually ye i did edit it ;D
Parent
Yeah it set it to 1 core before playing and it was jaggy.
Hmm this is odd. When I set it to run with both cores it runs fine. But when I set it to one it goes all jagged... ususally the other way around... very strange :o
if you are running xp i heard they are problems with quad core, so i guess same goes to duo
Parent
fixed it now ;D
Parent
you say 8800... so i guess you have the right drivers installed...

Right Click @ desktop -> nVIDIA control panel -> Advanced(if you havnt already done so) -> Manage 3D settings -> Threaded optimization -> Off
Yes I have the right drivers ;D
I've tried what you said and I'll see if it works
Parent
thank you it worked!!!
Parent
Actually no it didn't work. It is much better with 2 cores but still a little jaggy
I find old graphics card drivers work best with et. especially the newest nVidia drivers make my et go all jumpy. Try installing drivers from ~1year ago
ur et is just as fucked up as mine
i dont think it has anything to do with nvidia, the ram usage just goes up to 100% and then ofc its fucked
Parent
O well, just a suggestion but hey no harm in trying :)
Parent
well it worked for me ;D
Parent
why did i fail :<
it does, to the comment above with instructions with what to do
it does :p
weres the fun in that :P
