i got my new mouse today microsoft intelli mouse explorer 3.0 (450dpi)
What hertz is better 500 or 1000 ?

do you have the new IME (the black one)? - I still have the old one, for about 5 years now and it still works perfectly =)

and if yes, what's actually the difference (old/new IME) besides the new titan feet and the better grip?

500 Hz - microsoft doesnt recommend on "tuning" it up to 1000 Hz and for ET you dont need more than 500 Hz

just made my mx518 running @ 500Hz aswell

had it @ 250 before...

That's odd, because mine jumps like hell from about 700 to 1200 when I put it on 1000, instead of staying constant at 1000.
