the full game or the demo? Because imo the demo is indeed boring after a week - but thats just because the map included is boring. Haven't tried the latest demo yet. The full game however doesn't become boring that fast.
By the time the full game came out I had already played the game for hundreds of hours, I think it kept me busy for another month and then it started to become a bit boring, but its still a good game to play. One of the good things (and bad things at the same time) is that there is a lot you can do while playing which is quite overwhelming at first.
True, but after playing W:ET after a few months of Quake Wars I didn't like the W:ET movement (no rampjumping and limited sprint). Its very open for subjective views I guess.

I used to play older games in LAN with friends at home though when I didn't have internet connection yet... likes of quake2 etc.
