Freez and shutdown

I need ya help coz my every time I play ET , it suddenly freezes my whole pc after 5-10 secs :F Can't do anything except reboot :<
NEED YA HELPZ

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.40GHz 1 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200

Didnt have the problem 6 months ago but when I reinstalled it , it suddenly just doesnt work :< Who ever helps me will get a Money-shot <3

EDIT: everything works fine if I host myself :< My pc just crashes if I join any server hosted by firms and not by myself :P

When I had a problem like this, it was because of an overheated CPU. Cleaned the coolergrill, applied some new cooling paste and voilà no more freezes and shutdowns.

the problem is every other games works fine on the pc :F games like WoW and wc3 and everything just ET doesnt

:< theres no sens in using haxs if i cant play the game : ( I will once I'm able to join a server and stay there for more than 10 secs :P

why? oO other games work perfectly on my pc ( okay okay only old ones since my pc is just crappy )

Try installing on other harddisk, i had same and that worked for me..

hmm problem is that i once installed it and once dled the "swine"-pack where everything is already installed, so i dont think this will help me :< but i will try thanks <3

everything including etmain etpro and all the versions and most of the important maps such as frostbite , supply , braundorf etc. Pretty nice but i thought he fucked it up. But since i dled et and installed it and it still crashes , i think he did a decent job with his pack

try installing on other hd without using the pack, maybe try not even patching but just start with .55 and then patch up

nothing fucked it up again

BUT if i host a server myself, i can play on it and my pc doesnt crash :o so it only happens on ETPRO : ( help plüx

Try downloading etpro from a server and not dl it from a website
