PB Lags as well as a virus?

I'm really going crazy with these lags whenever I connect to a server. Every 300 to 400 ms there is this stutter in both sound and FPS and I know many ppl are suffering from it.

I just submitted a ticket to PB and I urge everyone else that suffers from this to do the same to get this solved asap.

Btw, another thing that started happening tonight is this. Whenever I connect to a server my antivirus software says this:

FILE C:\games\Wolfenstein_Enemy_Territory\pb\PnkBstrK.sys
infected with Trojan.Peed.Gen

^^ wtf?

It's not on one server, but on all servers.

every 10 min you get (fps) lag spikes for 2 min orso?

no. Right after I just connected the whole game stutters every 300 to 400 ms so about 2 to 3 times per second.

Have you tried turning system restore off then scan again?

well tbh I wouldn't be surprised if this is the method that is being used to get ppl falsly banned on PB. My anti-virus picks it out right after it's put on my pc and moves the file right away so I guess im lucky in that sense.

have you deleted the file as well? if not upload it @ http://virusscan.jotti.org/ and post the output.

I highly doubt the Gamehack kick is actually done by a 3rd party. Seeing i just played some randoms and 1 got kicked for it... And if it rly would be kamz why would he kick some random poltard he doesn't know?

there is no person to blame for *possible* false kicks of certain players, but there is a chance that is happening.. just like there's a big chance that they really got kicked for using cheats

Same thing happened to me and my friend tonight. BitDefeder 2008 is blocking a Trojan.Peed.Gen while connecting to our server for the game Call Of Duty 4 and Punkbuster is kicking us out......of our own CoD4 sever!!

The common dominators: Bit Defender and Punkbuster.

Something going on here!!!!!!!!!!!
