Why do you get a 12month ban when kicked for gamehack and 6/3 months when kicked for cheat pk3 which can't be a bug?

I think 12monts is quite much, but its justified. (IF its a bug and can be proven, bans could be removed)
but is there any difference from gamehack and kick for pk3 IN a clanwar?

I dont believe lio is a hacker but If it is a bug than I dont know why so many ppl are getting kicked for it :o]

They get kicked for gamehack by punkbuster ?
You want ppl to prove that punkbuster do its job ? what a brilliant idea.

pb isn't always right... and it could be a bug i know someone who said to me he was at a friends and he got kicked for it and he was shite so he knew it wasn't a hack :\

yee i guess what both of em don't even play supious tho :( and think if it was you and you got banned for it for 12months you'd be pretty pissed that people think you hack and are banning you for nothing.

There are three ways I know of to prove a hack in online games:

#1 - PB Screenshot showing a hack, confirmed by IP and GUID
#2 - Demo showing *very* obvious hacking, confirmed by IP and GUID
#3 - PBBans entry, confirmed by IP and GUID

positive effect of "short" bans is, that ppl wait for bans to expire and come back after.
thats why we have so many ex-cheaters in competition today.

in other games with long ban periods those guys get a new cdkey, nick and join as new players. you wont notice them like you notice guys like perfo,alexl,...

pk3 just proves you have the hack (or one of the files needed for it, more specifically), not that you used it. Since CB policy is pretty screwy, that only counts as an indication of cheating (3 month ban), not proven cheating (12 month ban).
