they are gaying up the dates this year but this didnt prevent our merry band of guinness hat seekers from parading out into the irish night.

we managed to find someplace that sold 4pints of the black stuff for 7 quid,.

Yes, I’m very sceptical of English people celebrating an Irish saint when they don't even celebrate St George's with the same enthusiasm and attitude. I’m sorry, it’s all commercial crap, Guinness sales top the roof, clovers bloody everywhere and to top it off English people wearing silly Guinness hats while trying to do the most racist and stereotypical Irish accent.
Now I’m not passing judgement on anyone who celebrates St Patrick’s Day nor do I dislike the Irish but what I am saying is that the reasons we celebrate it are very questionable.
