Ok, maybe not voodoo, but it sure was funny..
Without really knowing anything in advance, I was taken to a "village party" yesterday night, that is one tribe sets up a party with some traditional stuff..

So we came, me and my teammate as the only white guys, and we had no clue what it was.. First they wanted us to get some food(white ppl often gets first in situations like this, wether we want it or not), but we had just come from some other dude and had no chance to eat any more food.

Anyways, after a while some dude got to the bongo and people started doing this dancing-in-circle with speers and stuff. Then I got something brown from a big kettle, that looked kinda suspicious; thick, very brown and small bubbles coming up of it. I was told it was the local beer, and then of course i had to taste it. It tasted socks..

Just after that I realized I had just drunk suspicious stuff while people were dancing with speers around a bongo drum, and lolled a bit about that. Then i thought WTF, and joined the speerdancing. Dun think they expected that :D

This is part of a schoolyear for me, a school teaching cross-cultural communication. The point of it is the exchange, so a bunch of norwegians go to different places of the world for 6 months, and a bunch of people from different places of the world go to Norway. I was rly in Kenya, but then that country became a place not recommended by Foreign Affairs to be, so I was moved..

But if you go by yourself, all you need is the ticket and a little money.. Everything is cheap anyways. However, you'll get some cultural problems without someone to help you in the beginning :P
