I'm using a wireless connection (because my parents didn't wanted cables through the whole house) and when my sister and I are both using the connection ET is fuckign laggy and my sister also has slow internet.
I'm only running ET + Vent + MSN and she only has MSN open and a 3 simple websites, normaly this shouldn't be a problem.
When my parents, which are conneted with a cable, are using the internet I don't notice such a big lagspikes. (onlyw hen they are downloading and stuff ofc.
I'm using a US Robotics router.

I can give you a phone number, but I don't think she and her boyfriend would be happy with that :D
Think of it TosspoT you and here at Cdc, in the small admin cabin :D
Hope they stuck together, tell her that Thomm wished them good luck.
and GL bashing more relations!
- set a priority of service on the router if it supports that so that gaming bandwidth takes priority on the connection over internet browsing and msn etc, basically means you get the bandwidth first and everything else second.
- If your using the inbuilt windows software to manage your wireless connection then go into services and disable the wireless zero configuration, this will stop your pc from attempting to seek out new wireless networks and thus stop the lag spikes that you see every 30 seconds (the time depends on how aggressively your pc is configured to hunt out new networks)
The best solution is not to use wireless, if you cant run cables then try something like this:

Basically running your data network over the home mains power network.
I'll try to google for some modified firmwire or smth that will allow me to set priority. (Hope i'll find any for my USR shit router)
Best thing to solve your lags
-> beat her up or kick her pc (doing that to my brother either...)
just buy cable :P
reading most be realy hard for kkc people, damn we're just spammers :P
