As expected, the Dutch government made a fool out of themselves by making such a big fuzz about this "movie" for the past couple of months, and for what. A 14 minute youtube compilation. GG suckers!

Riot? About what? The point is that they were making a big fuzz about something they had no clue about what was going to be put out yet.

There are people that have released far worse material about muslims (theo van gogh for instance) and that never caused a big fuzz in our government so I dont really see a reason why a politicion with cineast ambitions should be treated any different.

There is also no need to use the "yah but theo is dead now so they should've done something" argument, because that has nothing to do with the Fitna movie and besides that there was nothing they could'be done to prevent him from being murdered. The government should spend their time on fighting extremism to the extend that they CAN (cuz theo's murder could not have been prevented. the falls pretense of them keeping us safe is laughable really) instead of spending time on material they haven't even seen yet and possibly could offend muslims. Any normal muslim will just shrug and think that wilders is an ignorant fool.

I disagree with your reasoning, although I understand what you mean.

You are right about the Van Gogh thing, and that they did not make a fuss about it then. However, you are overlooking something.

The movie Fitna comes after we have experience the Danish Cartoon riots. Now if you look at this movie from that perspective, than I completely understand the position of the government. We have seen riot before and just because there are no riots yet (took 3 months before riots started after the cartoon) doesn't mean the government made a fuss about nothing. The government had all the reason in the world to be worried. Danish products are still being boycotted.
