Vista + ET

Hi guys,

Yesterday I bought a new computer and vista was installed as normally with a new comp.

I can play ET as long as I want without being kicked without a vid_restart. But when i do /vid_restart then I get kicked for: Punkbuster kicked player Jere (for 0 mins) ... RESTRICTION: Missing/Corrupt Windows API FUNCTION [131144]

What I already did:
- install ET Ultimate
- run as administrator
- update pb

I read something about DISABLE VISTA UAC, but I dont know how to...

Can someone help me fixing this, or isn't this fixable and do I need to install XP on another part of my hdd to play ET?

EDIT: "solved" by putting all configs together in autoexec.cfg and loading + vid_restart before joining server

vista :D. i cant play ET at all, coz when i run et.exe my computer just freeze

why didnt you just put it together yourself? ^^

+ run as admin and run it as xp or something [dutch=help] bij die compabiliteits modus ofzo moet je windows xp kiezen] or otherwise look @ tutorials

you need to use et with service pack one ( windows server 2003)

LOl I dont have that problem!

UAC enabled or not :/

Btw to disable UAC , just click on the start button

Click on the pic under your name

Click on Enable or Disable UserAccountControl

Uncheck the 'Use UAC to protect my computer better'

Reboot

Done
