i guess they are only 12 because they believe in some kind of religion based on star constellations. My theory is that every main character resembles a zodiac

That image was made before the season 3 finale. :)

I also think there will be a thirteenth [strike]cylon[/strike] something, representing the 13th colony (that would be Jesus in the image).
