To answer your question, bind crouch to a any button that doesn't hinder your ability to move forward, backwards, left or right. That means either using your pinky finger to hit CTRL or bind it to your mouse. The reason for this is pretty obvious: you need to be able to move.
anyway nice performance on u!k this morning !
have a good day mate.
mouse2---jump
c ---- walk

bind SPACE "+moveup"
bind UPARROW "+forward"

bind MOUSE4 "weaponbank 5; cg_drawgun 1"
bind MWHEELDOWN "weaponbank 2; cg_drawgun 1"
bind MWHEELUP "weaponbank 3; cg_drawgun 1"
but this is my favourite bind:
bind CTRL "kill; +forcetapout; +moveup; wait; -moveup"
what do you think it does, if it works fine?
if it's there for tapping out, that's what forcetapout already does.
bind d "+forward"
bind s "+moveleft"
bind z "+back"
bind f "+moveright"
bind SPACE "+sprint"
bind SHIFT "+movedown"
bind MOUSE2 "+moveup"
bind / "+speed"
