et vista journal again

i know theres millions of these kinda journals, but im too lazy to search.
im at my friends place, he asked me to install ET on his PC (vista OS). so i installed it, installed patches too, but when i connect to random server it says something like failed pure server check (gamecode blabla) ... whats the problem?

update pb. or install pb manual, the manual setup or how this is called

update your drivers, because standart pack with drivers from vista is not always good.
and update pb...

Download ET from another source , it seems like you have a corrupt file in ET
