What is the most urgent to upgrade if I wanna keep on with a bit more recent games / lag less ?
Knowing I have a very very low budget atm and that I can't play buy a new computer or update everything.

indeed
From that you need to update to get less FPS lag.
Processor to a cheap amd dual (may need a new mobo but you can get one really cheap nowadays)
another gig of ram
And a 7800GT graphics for £30 or so.
Final cost around £90
MAX
i buy a new pc every 3 years and keep the others as server or just as network pc with loads of harddisks. like my old p4 2.8 has 2 terra inside and 1 terra hdd external.
and i use it only for storage and irc, music, ....
You are using a mobo with AGP, whereas all new gfx cards use PCI-E. Upgrading your gfx is just throwing away your money.
Buy random 60€ mobo + 150€ AMD cpu + 2x30€ RAM + 200€ gfx card. You can prolly recycle a lot of stuff like DVD, maybe even your harddisk, though you are prolly running ATA 100 or so, better just buy a new SATA as you dont want your HD to bottleneck your system.
I guess for 500€ you could get a decent system together. Could save some money, by only adding only one RAM chip in the beginning, but tbh adding a second RAM chip will hugely increase the performance on newer PC's, allowing you to run at double RAM speed.
Just spend as much money as possible on mobo + cpu, buy some cheap ram + gfx and upgrade over time.
Some random prices i found on forcom.be:
Intel Core2 Duo E8400 3.00GHz 6MB Boxed € 169,95
AMD Phenom 9750 sAM2 64bit quad-core BOX € 169,20
