Has anyone gotten premiere pro CS3's trial to install on Vista SP1? When you download it, it comes as a self-extracting package. It extracts, but the setup dies right after starting it. Not sure if it's due to having SP1 installed, but Google returned no useful info. Thanks!
*Found the solution; the installer writes a log to Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 3.log.gz. Unzipping it and searching for the keyword ERROR showed the following error: Error 2739: Could not access JavaScript runtime for custom action. Internal Error 2739.. This can be solved by starting a command prompt, going into Windows\system32 and executing regsvr32 jscript.dll (in administrator mode, of course).
PS. I have an existing CS3 Design Premium installation, if it matters
PS. no format C or go back to XP, kthx
